1. Our defense could not seem to stop guard’s penetration and layups in the 1st half. Nice adjustment on 2nd half.
2. If Clingan can start making those baby hook shots, he will be unstoppable and definitely lock in the lottery pick when he is ready to enter the draft.

Giving up a lot of penetration and not penetrating enough on offense is not a good formula. The high hedge has sucked for us recently, and Newton is just overall not a good defender. Sorta similar to AK, he has slow feet, but unlike AK it doesn’t look like Newton really tries all that hard.

Neither is a showstopper on D, but Newton is considerably better on D than Karaban. Pokes the ball away from dribblers or at least harasses them into picking up the dribble on a semiregular basis.
