I think they need the 3rd & 4th lines to really step up. If they can get that they should have a very successful weekend.

Goals 2 and 3 were really soft given up by Nichols. Struggling

Interesting that if Nichols got pulled Huska is not even the next in line. Has not dressed for a game yet.

Nichols - 2 bad goals and a goal post. Really struggling tonight.

After that showing during the exhibition game, he's at the end of the line and has to earn it. Creel or thulin would be better from what I've seen so far from huska. But was it just nerves that game? I would think he needs to at least see some non conference action at some point this season

Ughh, why did max try to wrap around like that? Tage was wide open tapping his stick in front of the net. Oh well. 4-4 now 2-0-1
On to RIT

Tomorrow night is going to be a very difficult game to win. A lot of effort put forth tonight and RIT sitting at home.

I miss the 1st & 2nd periods. Got to watch them tie it up.
They looked good. They missed a couple opportunities the bury them. But so did Colgate.
How the lines look ?

Adam Huska starting tonight. Tough spot. Sold out building (10,000+) and UConn playing a hard fought game the night before.

Jeff Wight playing in first game of the year tonight

Big save by Huska on a 2 on 1 at the end of the first.

0-0 after 1

Shots 13-8 RIT

Big time save by Huska on RIT power play. He is the reason UConn is still in the game. Has made a couple big saves. The team looks tired.

Scoreless after 2. Shots 26-14 RIT

Newpower heads to the box with 5.3 seconds left in the 3rd.

1-1 tie at the end of regulation with 1:55 to kill off of Newpower's penalty

Huska had a nice save on a 3 on 1 with less than a minute left. He has been the first star tonight.

Mac a nice coming out party for him tonight that's for sure!

UConn ties RIT 1-1......
Holy Cross beats PC tonight in OT 2-1..Maine loses to QU in OT 3-2

Adam Huska named #1 star of the night. 36 saves.

Definitely the reason UConn was able to manage a tie. Had a tired team playing in front of him.

Most likely it will be Nichols in net on Wednesday versus Quinnipiac though.
