Good thing I like some of these commercials--State Farm FanCam, Pepsi Drew Brees and Harry. Others, well. . .

Exactly what is a bearcat. Something from Dr. Morrow's Island?

Ah, it is another name for the lesser panda.

If this sub team played ND, they would lose by at least 40 points. That was just frighteningly bad.

Well, I'd like to think the second half was because Geno did not want to embarrass Jamelle, because that was pretty ugly.

Oh well, on to the next one!

Now we know why Geno doesn't play that combination against the top teams.
It isn't just the combination he put them in a zone which reduces turnover the opponent and open court baskets so it affects both D and O. Plus boredom factor is tough.

This is just sad. I feel bad for Jamelle. Her kids are completely outclassed by orders of magnitude at every position. They have no inside presence, and their shooting from the outside is mediocre. Their team speed isn't close to
very true and certainly not intended to denigrate Cincy but it is very sad to think that in the new Big East, Cincy may be one of the stronger opponents.

You do realize the next game is vs. Villanova, often the ugliest game of the year even WITH the starters in?

Yeah, Villanova is pretty much always an ugly game. However, Villanova has some nice wins this year (DePaul, Syracuse, USF), so I'd like to think that will translate to a better game than it has been in recent years. I know that it's a long shot and wishful thinking on my part, but I really cant image the next game can be much worse than this one was.

Seeing as how pandas, lesser or otherwise, are not indigenous (sp?) to southern Ohio, there's gotta be a story as to how Cincy choose "bearcat" as their moniker.

Interesting. The stands where the camera is pointed looks full, at least the lower level. The opposite side? Not a single person! I am not sure I have ever seen that before.

I went to a game at Cincy some years back. They don't open up seating on the "far side" of the arena, at least not for women's games. Since the camera positions are on the crowded side, when they show the game, the backdrop is the unoccupied side. This was when Mel was still playing, and there was quite a healthy contingent of family, friends, and high school support for her.

Well geez, why wouldn't they go with Cincinnati Lesser Pandas?
