I think we squeeze out a win in this one by one or two points. Anyone else worried about this game, given the way we have played the last couple games?

The way we played recently, I have a hard time seeing how we lose by less than 10... But I sure hope I'm wrong...

We've been playing like Jekyll & Hyde as of late - really good or really bad.
I wouldn't be surprised to see us beat Cinci by 12 or lose by 10....

Worried doesn't scratch the surface. Petrified, suicidal, lunacy begin to approach current state of mind!
The pressure is all on Cinn.
A win for us puts us back in the top 25 and helps seeding for the NCAA
They have a chance to win the first AAC conference title. Also a good road win for seeding. Hopefully we get it together it would be a nice win.
I watched the replay of last night game and my concern was the phyical condition of the team. TO and Samuel both played with energy.

Let's see -
They don't play well in noon games or games that start after 8PM on weekends.
They don't like the Civic Center because the crowd is too quiet yet they complain when getting their A##es handed to them by SMU at Gampel they claim the crowd wasn't into it.
They don't match up well with teams that have 3, 4 and 5s who play hard, look like they are 30 years old and are physical
They don't like opposing coaches who are midgets and act like spoiled brats.
They don't like to play well on national TV
Other than that - I like UConn's chances

This would be good stepping stone win to go into Lville, AAC tourney and the dance.
Can they win? Sure
Can they get trounced? For sure
3 weeks ago I would have said - bring Cinci on!!!!, Now I say - this could be ugly
This team is an enigma, from KO to TO

BUT I love them!

If Shabazz thinks he needs to outplay/outscore Kilpatrick, UConn loses. If Shabazz becomes a distributor and makes his teammates better, UConn wins. I'll be looking for dunks by Brimah and Nolan as positives, and threes from four feet beyond the line as a negative.

Yep. UConn plays at its best when he's penetrating and assisting the big men. When he racks up the assists its usually a good sign. Also Bazz doesn't need to take those deep 3s early in the shot clock as those shots can be had towards the end.

I think we can agree we want to see the following:
1. Good team defense and rebounding
2. Less pounding of the basketball and better sharing of it.
3. DD to show up

Last noon game in Hartford was against a tough Memphis team. Memphis has 3's 4's and 5's who look 30 physically (ie Shaq Goodwin). It was on ESPN. It was facing Pastner who is slightly above "midget".

We won.

Bazz isn't responsible for big men establishing position. Winning games isn't simply done by bazz distributing more, he already distributes more than basically anybody in America

Sure he's not responsible for their positions. However when the big men and others are scoring via assists then that's usually a very good sign as the guards are trusting them and establishes an important inside - outside game.

We have a way of playing well against top opponents. This game will be a rock fight.

Yeah let's hope Bazz doesn't screw it up like usual.

I doubt Cincy has enough firepower to make it ugly and I like our chances if everyone shows up for this one……..

On the other hand the last Saturday of the regular season has a chance to get ugly for sure…..lol

We need a win but being competitive is a must. I think we come out on fire.

Brimah needs to stay on the court and get a couple of those easy dunks. We are a powerhouse when he plays well. I have a good feeling about this game though. UCONN 64 Cinci 59
