Just noticed quite a few games are being broadcast on 97.9. and I’m assuming Chris Jones isn’t on the call? You mentioned Chris being responsible for stats etc in an warmer post, so it would make sense maybe this would give him a break lol we’ll miss ya on the broadcasts…you’ve come a long way!

Chris Jones will be doing the internet broadcast on UConn+ for these non conference games at home.

Chris Jones will also be doing the broadcasts for home Big East games that are on FloSports.

I was a bit surprised to see both Shpur and Kron in the lineup, but then I remembered they both got on base multiple times in the last game against Rutgers. I expect the coaching staff is going to be playing guys who have something of a hot hand at the plate, and that includes getting on base a number of times when they play. Go with players who provide some production at the plate.

Studley back in the lineup today, see how he does.

Bottom 2nd, Dalena gets a leadoff double. A wild pitch and a Broadhurst walk puts runners at the corners with no out. Garbowski with a no out RBI single to tie the game at 1. Padilla with a 2 out RBI single, 2-1 UConn.

Cooke issues a walk to load the bases. The next batter hits a grand slam, 5-2 BC going to the bottom of the inning.

Bottom 5th, UConn offense gets 3 walks to load the bases with no outs. Morton with an RBI fielders cholce ground out that puts runners on the corners, 5-3 BC. A sac fly by Dalena, 5-4 BC. Morton is picked off, and is officially thrown out trying to steal 2B for the final out of the inning.

Nvm, phantom overturn keeps bc on offense. UConn escapes anyway thanks to questionable repeated attempts by BC to bunt for a base hit.
