College baseball is brutal……home run, home run, home run. I miss the 1950s/60s/70s…….walk, stolen base, sac bunt, sac fly. Hit behind the runner, etc.

As near as I can tell, JO Christian field, which opened in the spring of 1968 (wood bat era) had dimensions slightly larger than Elliot at 340-370-405-370-340. I don't know how much the composite bats add in terms of distance, but even if it's 10%, that would add 30+ feet to all fields. Watching some of those Daniels and Minick moonshots lately, I'm not even sure the extra 30' would have mattered.
