Xavier RPI is 132. Right now only two Big East teams have a RPI under 100 and that are UConn and Creighton. Both in the 90’s.
 
That’s why this series and the Creighton series are so huge. They’re at Elliot. Last year we were in a bad spot playing both on the road back to back to start the season. Glad to see the boys took advantage of the first weekend. Nicer to finish the weekend off!
 
In order to make the tournament we have to win every single BE game.

You know that the conference champion gets an auto bid? And you’re not disqualified for failing to go undefeated?

If you’re talking about needing to be near perfect to get an at large bid if we don’t win the conference tournament, that ship has already sailed. We already have 5 quad 3 and 4 losses. There is no coming back from how mediocre we’ve been against the weakest sos we’ve had in the preseason in recent memory.

Oh I know I was joking about winning every BE game. We’ll have to win the BE tournament to get in so it is what it is.
 
We need to get off to better starts on offense. It always takes us one time around the order to get going.

Minick struggling after a good start after his return. His front side is opening up way too much, trying to pull everything
 
Hale loads the bases (2-HBP) but gets a strikeout to end the inning.

 
Big difference between winning a series and sweep. Also, the lazy Big East scheduling has us on the road the Xavier and Creighton every other year and hosting every other year. Been like this for years
