Top 4th, Suchy has a 1-2-3 inning with 2 strikeouts. 2-0 UConn. Suchy has 6 strikeouts so far in this game.
 
Bottom 4th, after Polemeni gets a 2 out single, the UConn offense has a scoreless inning. 2-0 UConn.
 
Top 5th, Suchy has a 1-2-3 inning with 1 strikeout. 2-0 UConn. Suchy has thrown 60 pitches in this game so far.
 
Bottom 5th, Wachter leads off with a single, Dalena follows with a walk, and Tirado gets a 1 out double that drives in 2 runs but Tirado is thrown out for the 2nd out trying to reach 3B. 4-0 UConn.

Rispoli and Righi both follow with a 1 out singles, but an out ends the inning. 4-0 UConn.

Sick and tired of these baserunning blunders.

There also needs to be a penalty for excessive pickoff attempts like there is in the MLB. Watching Xavier throw to first every damn play is a bore.

Bottom 7th, Rispoli leads off with a walk, Minick gets a 1 out single, both runners advance a base on a wild pitch, another wild pitch happens and both runners move up a base with 1 run coming in. 6-0 UConn.

Marshall gets a 1 out single that drives in a run, 7-0 UConn.

It is possible that having thrown 100 pitches that Suchy may come out of the game, but with the way he is going I would expect that he will still be pitching to start the 9th inning.

After the homer, with no outs Dalena gets hit by a pitch, he is thrown out trying to steal 2B. That is it for the UConn offense this inning.

Suchy comes out of the game, Talarico takes the mound to start the 9th.

Taylor takes over in RF, Belisario takes over in CF, and Wachter moves to LF.

1000% agree. So many pickoffs, caught stealings, and caught trying to get extra bases. Many have caused us runs. I think the aggressive running has caused us more runs than it created. No evidence, just feels that way.
 
X are usually the thumpers of the BE. Not sure if they are down this year, doesn’t matter with our pitching being aggressive.
