It’s not you.Is it just me, or does it feel like our knowledge of injuries on this team is the worst it has ever been?
Don’t get our section’s hopes up that we’ll actually see you in 241.I’m about to board a flight from Delhi to Newark. Straight to the Rent off the plane. I’m expecting a strong effort tomorrow. Let’s go!!!!!!
I saw him play against Rice, but I think it was on special teams. UConn lists that he played in the last 2 games, but he had no stats. Maybe he is banged up and is only playing on special teams?I learned today via the article on Byrun Parham that Tyquan King was injured in the FIU game and has missed the last 2. Was wondering where he was. This may explain some of our inability to stop the run. On Rice's big run TD, Mills missed a tackle that would have kept it a 4 yard gain. On the long Rice TD catch and run Pringle got beat watching the backfield and then wiffed on the tackle. Those plays are on the players. I am hoping they all step up and stop with the poor efforts at tackling. Our D-line stunts a lot and it gets them out of position to hold their gaps. They are caught on the move and backs go where they were, as the O-line shoves them out of the way. Rice took full advantage late in the game. Just play your gaps and send a LB on occasion to disrupt the offense. We don't seem quick enough on the D-line to stunt and get pressure. Stopping the run game has to be job one on Saturday.
and the other teams quarterback was also injured and replaced by a freshman during their week one bump.I see Circa has UConn favored by 11. I guess the thinking is that UAB had the one week interim coach bump and will return back to earth. Plus…UConn appears to be much better at home.
Line seems high to me.
Yeah I’m skeptical of that line. If we manage to win by 10+ I’d be very happyI see Circa has UConn favored by 11. I guess the thinking is that UAB had the one week interim coach bump and will return back to earth. Plus…UConn appears to be much better at home.
Line seems high to me.
Hmmm, Memphis just beat Rice 38-14. And two weeks ago UAB beat Memphis 31-24. Yet UConn is favored?
I'm not a big comparative score person but watching that game was hardly reassuring for tomorrow.
The Memphis Rice game was not even close. The game was over at halftime. I would expect a high scoring game today between UConn and UAB. Neither team has a defense that provides any level of confidence. The positive is UConn is at home.I'm not a big comparative score person but watching that game was hardly reassuring for tomorrow.
