I saw an ad on Channel 3 (Hartford CBS affiliate) this weekend, saying they were televising the game. That would be nice!

It will be interesting to see who the starting pitchers for UConn are in these midweek games the next couple days.

Expect we will see a number of guys come out of the bullpen as well.

The two midweek games before St. Johns is rough. Any chance for an at large bid disappears with a Tier 4 loss today or tomorrow, but on the other hand we only have 5 pitchers who we can have any faith at all in at the moment, and you don't want to use them to the point we are limiting their use for the weekend.

A lot of early runs for us today or tomorrow would really help us stay ready for St. Johns.

And I ask again, what happened to Suchy? With the pitching as bad as it's been overall, losing two starters (for whatever reason) is tough.

Hamberger gives up a 2 out single followed by another single. The runners are stranded. Hamberger struck out 2 batters this inning. 1-0 UMass.

Bottom 1st, Rispoli gets a leadoff walk, with no outs Rispoli moves to 2B on a balk. A sac bunt for the 1st out by Shpur moves Rispoli to 3B. Rispoli scores on a wild pitch. Game tied at 1 going to the next inning.

The center fielders are flashing some leather. Another great catch, this time by Sphur!

Shpur follows with a no out triple. Dougherty reaches 1B on an error, Shpur scores, 3-1 UConn.

Dougherty is caught trying to steal 2B for the 2nd out. Root is hit by a pitch, and moves to 2B on a wild pitch. Root moves to 2B on a wild pitch and to 3B on another wild pitch. Padilla draws a walk and Root scores on a wild pitch. 4-1 UConn.
