Top 3rd, Simeone with a walk and 3 strikeouts for a scoreless inning. He is at 62 pitches on the game, so he won't be along for long even if he does have another good inning. 6 strikeouts on the day for Simeone.

Top 4th, Simeone strands a runner at 2nd after a lead off single. 1-0 UConn. 7 strikeouts on the day for Simeone. 73 pitches on the day for Simeone, can he actually make it through the 5th?

Bottom 4th, bases loaded and 1 out, Chris Winkel walks to bring in a run. 2-0 UConn. Langer follows with another walk to make it 3-0.

Brown proving his worth and making himself a regular as a freshman which is very impressive

Chris Jones says Simeone had gone down to the bullpen to warm up during that long inning. So he comes out of the pen to start the top of the 5th on the mound.

No question Brown has won the 3B job at this point. His offensive production, including getting consistently on base, has really kicked up of late. What I find impressive is that he got virtually no mentions in interviews with coaches or on UConn baseball twitter either last season or in the fall ball season, but took over the job anyway.

Top 5th, 1-2-3 inning for Simeone! By far his best performance of the season. 82 pitches on the game. Does he take the mound for the 6th?

too much work on my part ... I've tried intermittently to remember the name of the last 3rd basemen morning. Good glove but couldn't hit Mendoza. West Springfield HS. hmmm

Chris Jones is anticipating a staff day for the Bryant game on Tuesday, as Gallagher will be shifted to starting on the weekend. The funny thing is, at this point Bryant is probably a tougher team than Georgetown.

Bottom 5th, scoreless inning for the UConn offense. Top 6th, the day is over for Simeone, Kenny Haus out of the bullpen to start the inning. I'm so used to Haus pitching on Friday in relief of Casparius.

Bryant is a perennial powerhouse in the NEC and currently undefeated in their conference play right now. They’ve had some good MLB players over the years and will be a good test

Bryant always has a quality team. No surprise that they have two midweek games scheduled with UConn this season.

Top 6th, UMass with a 3 run homer to make it 7-3 UConn going to the bottom of the 6th. That homer certainly decreases the chance of a Garrett Coe appearance late in this game.

Bottom 6th, UConn goes down quickly in order. Andrew Marrero to pitch for UConn in the top of the 7th.

Bottom 7th, UConn goes down in order. Top 8th, Justin Willis in to pitch for UConn.

Top 8th, Willis with a 1-2-3 inning. 7-3 UConn. No surprise, Wurster warming in the pen, probably will see him in the 9th.

After going down in order in the bottom of the 8th, Caleb Wurster in to pitch the top of the 9th. Pity, only a 4 run lead for him. There is a chance this could be over by 6pm!

Top 9th, Wurster with a 1-2-3 inning with 2 strikeouts, UConn gets the 7-3 win and the sweep over UMass. I'm expecting to see a broom pop up on this thread pretty soon.

Am I too predictable?
