Sure beats the 13 inning first game from last Saturday. With a little luck baseball may be all done by about 6pm tonight.

These days I'm always wishing for "quick" games. I grew up in an era of games taking about 2 hours 15 minutes in the late 1960's into the 1970's. I recall in my youth watching Yankee games on WPIX, and getting a truncated Abbott and Costello episode after the game was over.

Randy Lavigne during the first game today was repeating what Coach Penders said about Joe Simeone in earlier interviews. He has great stuff in his bullpen workouts, but it hasn't translated to the games he appears in.

That’s absurd to be a D1 program and only have 2 scholarships to offer. It’s gotta be tough as a coach to get top notch kids from the northeast with limited abilities to give scholarships
