UConn v. UCF (Updated Schedule ~ Sat. 4/7 Noon @J.O.C. & Double-Header Sun. 4/8 @8:30a.m.@ J.O.C.)

Phillips scores on an infield error to tie the game at 2.

Woodworth now has a multi hit game, so maybe his bat is heating up.

UConn leaves the bases loaded again in the bottom of the 3rd. Game tied at 2.

I cannot be too frustrated with the offense, as two of those outs with RISP were really well hit.

Top 4th, Feole strands a runner at 3B to end the inning. Mason seems to have settled down the last couple of innings.

.-.
Bottom 5th, Feole strands the bases loaded with his seventh strikeout of the game. 4-2 UConn, likely Feole's last inning. Joe Simeone was warming up that inning.

If this was us in the field instead of UCF, there would be some very colorful language on this board.

Escape artist! We need to build a bridge between now and Wallace / Poulin. The offense needs to be the one to add amentities to the bridge.

6th inning, an amenity is added through a wind blown double by Prato scoring Winkel. 5-2 UConn with Huskies still up.

Can you say the word "amenities" on the Boneyard?

And another one on an effecient RBI groundout by Susi! 6-2.

We are doing a good job putting the ball in play and forcing them into mistakes.

UConn's defense hasn't been spectacular but UCF has had an absolute horrible time in the field. And yes, if it were UConn there would be all sorts of language from the lurkers out there.

LOL. True story, but it's also mostly been the result of one UCF player. Rough day for UCF's 3rd baseman.

1 out walk for UCF, stopping them from scoring would exponentially increase our chances of winning this game.

It would get us that much closer to Wallace and Poulin. With 3 games in 2 days, that's important.

Oh my god...Winkel loses a foul ball in the sun, Simeone apparently gets squeezed out of a strike 3 call, and Woodworth boots a ground ball. Brutal, and not Simeone's fault.

Lead is cut to 6-3 and UCF is still threatening.

With 2 out, Simeone comes out, Jake Wallace comes in. With a bit better fielding, Simeone gets through that inning. And he would be an important cog to get going.

Yeah, the only thing I had a problem with was the 1 out walk to the #9 hitter. Other than that, he was much better today.

Wallace needs only 4 pitches clean up the mess. If he is efficient, he might be able to make it through the 8th.
