Bottom 4th, Pudvar gives up a leadoff double and walks 2 batters with 1 out to load the bases. Another 1 out walk brings in a run, 7-2 UConn.

Pudvar comes out of the game, Cooke takes the mound.

Cooke gives up a 1 out double to the 1st batter he faces that drives in 3 runs, 7-5 UConn.

Cooke walks the next batter. A 1 out single drives in another run and puts runners on the corners, 7-6 UConn.

A fielders choice ground out for the 2nd out brings in another run and puts runners on the corners.

Game tied at 7. A pop out ends the inning. Game tied at 7.
 
“Big Hit” might be a good nick for Biller.

Root follows with a no out single. Padilla has an injury, MacArthur pinch hits for him and will no doubt take over at 1b as Minick moves to 3B.

I picked a good day to break down and get a Flosports subscription. It’s been exciting so far. I did the college only one. 19.99 a month isn’t bad.
 
Top 7th, with 2 outs, Minick gets a single, and Root gets on base on a 1B error that puts runners on the corners. The runners are left on base. 11-8 UConn.

How do we feel about pitching for the 2nd game? Do we have an advantage if this ends roughly as-is?
 
Top 8th, Garbowski gets a 1 out single. Biller gets on base with a fielders choice ground out for the 2nd out. Biller steals 2B. Ends up being a scoreless inning, 11-8 UConn.
 
It would be nice if the St Johns broadcast had a score widget. But I’m glad to just watch the game.
