Many more than people in this thread are giving the game credit for. I watch all of the UConn men’s games and have seen many different teams. Men’s hoops is not just a dunk-fest by “look at me” players. Not at all.

People are criticizing a game they don’t watch

I must confess that Dan Hurley has brought me back to the Husky's mens game. As you say they have brought back a highly watchable brand of basketball. Those 2 championships certainly keep me going through our injury plagued years.

How many men's teams play the game like UConn's men? I agree with MSGRET. The men's game, even in high school, is hard to watch.

I'm on board, except that there are some MCBB teams that do it right and play ball the old way. In general, it appears that the men's college game is mimicking the pro game, which I am not able to watch anymore. Give me the fast pace a good womans team provides, passing, driving, 3 pointers galore and a boatload of assists. Oh, Oh, well I think that describes our Lady Huskies. Thats all I need, well maybe good tough game where 2 of our rivals beat up on each other.

My favorite basketball was a SCar rebound outlet that was passed through through all other players before being laid up and in by the 5th player. 2020 against Miss State in the SEC championship, Last game of our 31-1 season as it turned out.

I do love when that happens. It's really pretty basketball.

So true. As the quality of play, talent, and coaching gotten better, so has the demand and viewership increased. Even better, the new generation of talent is going to make sure the viewership never decreases. The game is in great hands.

I really feel like it turned the corner with more teams playing very good basketball. In someways that hurts Connecticut because parity means there are more teams that can beat us, but for the game overall it's definitely a good thing.

And just why do you think we don't watch it anymore. It has reached all the way down to the Junior Leagues. Girls are starting to mimic the men now.
