As stated in another thread, we’re not getting an at large bid this year and should be entirely focused on conference games. Even at the risk of losing today, we can’t be using any of the limited number of reliable arms we have in a way that will limit our pitching options for this weekend. The Big East regular season title will largely be determined in the next week and a half.

agree, the X and Creigton tie breakers will become very valuable.

Is JT Caruso hurt? He was pretty good last year, but haven't seen him but once this year.
 
Bottom 1st, Polemeni draws a 1 out walk, he moves to 2B and 3B on wild pitches, he is left on base, as all 3 outs of the inning were strikeouts. No score.

Top 3rd, Trumpour gives up a leadoff walk, the next batter gets to 1B on an error by Trumpour on a bunt, this is followed by a no out 3 run homer. 3-0 Quinnipiac.

With 1 out Trumpour gives up a double, the runner moves to 3B on a sac bunt for the 2nd out, the runner is left on base. 3-0 Quinnipiac.

He's been calling that a strike several times. If I'm the UConn pitchers I'm working a foot off the plate inward. Unreal, Smith's first 2 pitches we're just off the plate, both called balls. Apparently not strikes for our guys

On the 1st batter he faces, Garbinski gets a fielders choice ground out to end the inning with no runs coming in. 3-1 Quinnipiac.

For those of you who live there and have been to the stadium, is that a recording they play over the intercom, hot dogs, peanuts, ice cold beer? Or is it really a vendor. I have never heard that before

Am I the only one who feels like this HP ump has it out for us. He has consistently given that pitch 6 inches off the plate to righties for their pitchers but not ours.

After the homer, there is a no out single. Garbinski comes out of the game, Gilchrist takes the mound.

The 1st batter Gilchrist faces gets to 1B on an error by Rispoli, both runners move up a base on a ground out for the 1st out, a run scores on a ground out for the 2nd out with a runner now at 3B. 5-1 Quinnipiac.

Gilchrist strikes out the next batter to finally end the inning.
