Gotta give Merrimac credit. 60 minutes of action and they didn’t get a penalty all night. Incredible discipline. Especially on the road.
Just watch…we all know what will happen. I really hope I’m wrong. If Cavanaugh goes back to splitting goaltenders after this colossal failure of a performance from Sergeev then Cav is just awful at his job and needs to go.
They should sit tomorrow, if he actually wants to send a real message.Cav is talking about Schandor, the captain and who everyone says is the most positive one on the team, and Bradley, one of the better offensive players they have, being selfish and threatening to bench them.
Behind the scenes must be an absolute mess. I cannot believe this what the season has become.

Oddly that underdog status may actually benefit UConn. Over a number of years, they tend to play to the level of their competition. It’s not like schedule to date has been that daunting. Top half of conference so far UConn hasn’t played yet. Very discouraging
Should have been an embellishment penalty in return at minimum.Fraser went at him body to body and their knees happened to collide. It wasn’t your typical play where you see a guy streaming past you and you extend your knee - that’s dangerous stuff.
And of course the kid who had to be helped off the ice where you thought season was over went right back on the power play when the game was out of hand.
600k for clapping a lot of clappingSea Goat is trying to keep his blood pressure down this weekend.
I going to coast this weekend.
Special thanks to mac2351, UC15, zls44, Bomber 36, UC 15, freescooter, The Viking, DblCrossbar, scotty0330 et al for saying everything I agree with.
Just one factoid to frost your cojones - Ben Barr, the Maine coach, makes $235k per year. Beat BC last night. Only loss this year is to QU. $600k per year for what?
He wanted to after that third goal he was talking to Pereria about it on the bench but didn't pull the trigger... classic CavWatching Sergeev play goal is laughable.
Like what is he doing?
Cav has to think about pulling him.
He apologizes to the fans, takes the blame, and says it will not happen again.
Most upset I have ever seen him after a game.
Officiating is not killing UConn. Cav’s devotion to alternating goalies is.To be clear what I meant was the officiating was a god damn joke. Especially in the third.
Pardon me………..Haider.Officiating is not killing UConn. Cav’s devotion to alternating goalies is.
Hairder from here on out. Period.
