UConn v. Hartford (3/29@3p@ JOC), UConn v. CCSU (3/30@3p@ JOC) & UConn @ Hartford (3/31@3p@ DDP)

CCSU struggled to score vs. our midweek pitching. Hopefully Feole dominates!

He throws strikes he should be fine. Can’t give a team that struggles to hit free passes.

Kersten proved stay in the zone and talent will separate the two programs.

Wonder when and if we will see polonia anytime soon? Thought April was tentative time period. Another live arm against mid week competition (to start) would be welcome.

Winkel and Woodworth come up with RBI hits. 3-0 UConn, still hitting in the bottom of the 2nd. We are playing well.

Three quick outs for Feole in the top of the 5th. Feole is at 79 pitches; he should be able to go 1 more.

Let's add a few more in the bottom half of the inning. 5-0 UConn.

Granted it’s CCSU but Feole dealed today (only gave up 3 singles through 7)...

Time for a call to the bullpen...

Scratched in another run 6-0.

Simeone coming in for the 8th.

Feole Final Line: 7 IP 3 H 0 ER 1 BB 13 K

Feole Dominant in Huskies 6-1 Win vs. CCSU

Notes:
  • UConn starting pitchers have logged 28 shutout innings over the course of the past four games.
  • Mason Feole struck out a career-high 13 batters and marked the most for a UConn pitcher this season (Tim Cate, 11, at USF).
  • Mike Woodworth snagged his first career three-hit game including an RBI single.

This CCSU Hartford game is breezing right along. Maybe our game can start a little early?
