Chris Jones had said earlier in this game that the 10 run Mercy Rule is not in effect in home games at Georgetown.
 
Top 8th, Wachter gets a 2 out double, Dalena follows with a double that drives in a run. 14-2 UConn.

Taylor pinched hit for Righi, Taylor will no doubt take over in LF.

Thomas pinch hits for Polemeni, Thomas draws a 2 out walk.

Cancel pinched hit for Tirado, and will no doubt take over as the catcher.

2 runners are left on base.
 
Top 9th, Detwiler pinch hits for Rispoli, and Detwiler leads off with a double and moves to 3B due to an error on the play, with 1 out Belisario and Taylor draw back to back walks that load up the bases, Detwiler tries to score on an apparent wild pitch but is thrown out for the final out of the inning. No runs for the UConn offense this inning, the UConn offense had 2 strikeouts. 14-2 UConn.

Top 4th, Wachter and Dalena lead off with back to back singles, followed by a an infield single by Polemeni which loads the bases, Rispoli drives in 1 run with a single. 2-0 UConn.

With no outs Cancel drives in 2 runs with a single that puts runners on the corners. 4-0 UConn.

Jemison drives in 1 run with a no out double. 5-0 UConn.

Belisario draws a no out walk to load the bases, the next batter Righi gets hit by a pitch bringing in another run. 6-0 UConn.

Marshall follows with a no out grand slam homer. 10-0 UConn.

Wachter follows with a no out solo homer. 11-0 UConn.

Dalena gets a no out walk, he is picked off for the 1st out of the inning. Polemeni follows with a walk, Polemeni is thrown out for the 2nd out trying to steal 2B. Rispoli draws a walk, but is left on base.

I really need an explanation on why there is no mercy rule for these games.
 
Their pitching hasn't gotten anyone out this inning, apparently we just want to keep giving them outs on the bases. Stat cast had as 12-0, now it's back down to 10-0. What is it?
