Washington has awful pitching past their top couple guys. We will score, but will our own pitching hold up?

So gotta be Kersten to start tonight, and then who knows where they go from there
 
Well, the good news is that we have Kirsten and a good chance to get a quality start. Even if he's giving up a run per inning, he's got to give us 5 or 6. Beyond that, who knows. Is Dunlop behind him leaving us with no starters for Monday? Are anyof CJ, Holmes or Wallace able to give us some innings in game 2? Lot of questions. But a quality start and a lot of hitting answer them.
 
Obviously I’m getting ahead of myself here, and I know we’re doomed, but Feole and Cate should be able to help out with a couple of innings tomorrow if need be, right?

No chance, maybe Chase Gardner can give a couple. I feel like he got pulled without a ton of pitches yesterday. But even that's shaky at best
 
If Kersten has one of his efficient games where he is hitting his spots, he can be quite good. If he is walking batters, watch out.

I'd say definitely no for Cate & most likely no for Mason. You may have to lock Mason in a cage tom keep him out though....

Mason can maybe give them an inning. It’d be similar to a 20 pitch bullpen
 
My hope is that Wallace has me eating my words before this is all said and done.

Would Feole not be able to pitch an inning or two in relief? I understand why Cate wouldn’t with him just coming back from injury, but Penders started Nappo twice in three days in the 2011 regional.

I think if it gets to Monday both could see an inning or two from Feole don't think Cate tho

I would say no, but you just never know what will happen in college baseball.
