Towards the end of the last season, I was rather impressed with Charlie West, even though early in the season he issued walks all over the place. But is the season progressed, his pitching control improved. His start last weekend certainly looked a lot like he did early last season, hopefully he will improve over that like he did as last season progressed.

Man, if this doesn't feel desperate all of a sudden. Need to stop the losing slid here and get some much-needed wins for the program. Being so far in the northeast always has challenges, but this has been a particularly fierce winter. Not to mention the enormous turnover on the team. A lot of season to go, but the club's got a tiny margin of error to get the ship righted.
