The UConn Huskies return home to the XL Center and to Hockey East play as they host the No. 12 nationally ranked Northeastern Huskies on Friday night.

Cavanaugh thinks we'll be elite by letting players find motivation in themselves.

For God's sake, this is college hockey. Some of these players will end up in Germany and the Czech Republic or even China for pro careers. We must have one of the strangest athletic departments in this country. From Edsall to Hurley to Geno to Penders to Stevens to Reid to Cavanaugh. Two are championship coaches, one is perrenial winner, one is growing and showing potential and the other 3 are deadbeats. Cavanaugh is interested in recruits not championships. Freaking Arizona State is ranked now.

Our fans have obviously lost interest in going to football and hockey games for now. We've been under one coach since we joined the HE.

The team was playing well right before the break but looked totally flat last night. And can they work on a power play please? The Wesr Hartford peewees who played between periods probably have a better one.
