Hey all they need is a shinny new on campus rink with " tons of loud students" ( from the Uconn blog ) and a top level half a million dollar coach ( that they outbid theirselves forThe women have heart and an actual hockey coach
I wish the men’s program was anywhere close to where MacKenzie’s program is
).... Oh wait
Well, they certainly didn’t need as much beer.At least did the $2 miller lite promo go better than it did at basketball game?
Half way through the first period they were all out of them. They can't even do 2 dollar crappy beers night right. At least did the $2 miller lite promo go better than it did at basketball game?
Let’s go boys, go get them tomorrow.
Give me Kondelik over Wood every day of the week.Lack of a first rounder playing like a first rounder and instead playing like a 7th rounder is a major concern. Has he thrown a hit in 18 months? It's hockey. Play physical and maybe other things will fall into place. I literally didn't notice him until the second d period. I'd have to believe There is NO WAY Nashville allows him to be with this program next year unless something drastic happens.
Missing Amonte, Tverberg and Pearson from last years group of forwards. That’s a lot of speed and experience. We definitely did not replace the speed. But Wood played much better last year. He has taken a huge step backward.
Who was his center last year?
Thanks.
As some of you have referenced here already…the 3rd line is the most exciting and at times, most productive, more so then not. Watching a few shifts, it’s obvious. Grit, hustle, motivation, etc.whatever it may be, there may be quite a nucleus that’s somewhat hidden. Incoming talent will be necessary regardless. There are some positives there I thinkMissing Amonte, Tverberg and Pearson from last years group of forwards. That’s a lot of speed and experience. We definitely did not replace the speed.
Samu out for tonight:
“Hockey East announced today that UConn sophomore forward Samu Salminen (Helsinki, Finland) has been suspended for one game stemming from an incident at 14:22 of the first period on Friday, February 2 against Providence. Salminen is ineligible to play Saturday, February 3 against the Friars and is able to return to the Huskies’ lineup on Friday, February 9 against Massachusetts.”
Yeah, I’m thinking that guy may have done something that he was reacting to that we all missed. Maybe? Otherwise it’s inexplicable.Seemed so out of character for him.
