It's a complete joke if the reason they aren't using Whitmer as a QB and not someone to hand the ball off is because they're afraid he'll get hurt....if that's the case, let him play and if he gets hurt Knape can just take the snap and hand off and then block at the same time.
Too many people saying they're protecting Whitmer so I just quoted you instead.

To reinforce UCFBfan's point, what's the point in protecting your only QB if you don't use him?

If Whitmer gets hurt any former QB on the team (I'm sure there are a couple) can come in and run the offense we are running right now with minimal practice.

Adams had him stopped, and still got plowed thru for 4 extra yards.
Adams getting trucked on EVERY run play has made my memory of Obi's pass "coverage" this season to date at least a bit more fuzzy. So there's THAT as a positive. Safety play has been brutal.

I don't understand how their freshman back can move through the line like he's Bronko Negurski. Thought UConn had a s/c coach. This kid is moving them back almost every play.

I was all for refusing to pass when we are backed up but once we got to midfield we should have tried SOMETHING

.-.
This preoccupation with TE's who can't block is hurting us bad. Hell, put Bloom in the slot. Shotgun all snaps, our RB's don't fall down with arm tackles this year, it can't be as bad as this.

I think he might have dinged his head the play before.

Foxx badly misjudges the punt and it of course takes a great USF roll...

All positivity gone.

Dammit the monsoon made it to Jacksonville. Directv out.

I foresee a fumble comin'

Foxx needs to catch that ball. Now we're looking at 3 runs up the middle and a punt. Not that starting at the 10 vs. the 1 would change that strategy any.

Freaking ball refuses to bounce our way on special teams.

What Weist did Gars, spread!
They're trying to get a lucky tie, and then use THE PLAY that all you guys want in the final minute. Actually, I'm good with the game strategy, given the material we have to work with. Just tie the score the hard way (lucky play/int/fumble/etc) and then use the play action when it matters: in the final minutes.

UConn is very fortunate the concept of 'forward progress' exists.
