Games like Vermont are usually one of those traps that mess us up down the road... good to get them out of the way now. Won the weekend 7-2, nice!

I know it's Vermont so we aren't seeing the better talent in the conference but I thought I our power play looked really good. Nice puck movement. Lucas looks very comfortable here, nice pickup.

Got a kick seeing Wood playing point on PP. You can see why Cav gives Thompson as a comp to him (although his ceiling maybe even higher believe it or not).

And I was incredibly impressed by Sargeev in goal. Really does a great job looking for the puck when there is traffic in front. Very mobile and comfortable in the net.

Nice getting Lucas back to CT, he spent 4 prep years in Windsor at Loomis-Chafee starting way back in 2014, looks like a great add for the PP that struggled mightily last year.

True dat , but we all know upsets can happen and I’m sure we all remember that Union won an NCAA championship back in 2014. They are 7-1-4 against us life time, but we won the last game in December, 2014. They’re picked to finish 8th in the ECAC this year.

Considering the team that Union is these days, I would be disappointed heavily with a loss, unless if they've drastically improved.

Oh, I agree. I’m still waiting for this program not to have letdowns against teams we should beat on paper. It’s happened way too much the last few years. It’s time to put away those old habits and prove that it’s a new day. We are the UConn Huskies!
