Teaching control is very difficult. Oversimplifying a bit, but in many cases, you either have it or you don't. It comes down to recruiting.
Agree, but It is part of the max effort approach being promoted these days. From travel ball to the bigs, less control and command, less mixing speeds and spots. And more TJ. My hope is that Huskies can find more Krauths, Petersons and Stefanonis. Less of these kids with no feel. Ball-throwing robots. The equivalent on the offensive side is the kid who is looking to pull every slider over the left field fence and strikes out an “acceptable” once a game to hit 10 homers in a season. Yuck.

What do you notice about all of those guys. And the majority of our consistent, dependable strike-throwers in general in the past? All transfers. Battle tested.

Trying to think of recent homegrown exceptions - Gallagher. There are more than a few relievers.
Add Casparius to your point.

Anyone know why Daniels came out? Hopefully not hurt. Dougherty with another hit and 2 yesterday, he is coming around

Probably something about athleticism that is brought to the table. And of course coachability and acumen to be able to adapt.

Hard to come back when you walk the leadoff hitter. All downhill from there. Concerning about our starters. Hopefully they come around

For awhile there I thought this was gonna be one of those series where you win the series but lose the run differential.

We do have some offense. And they do keep talking about the pitching staff being Miami's strength

We have a great offense, but it’s been top heavy this series. Need two of the first three hitters to reach to have a chance.
