UConn @ UCF - Friday 4/21@6:30p, Saturday 4/22@1p & Sunday 4/22@11A

We have threatened in almost every inning, but our lack of power makes it hard to consistently cash in these runners.
Feldstein strikes out again. At this point Penders should bench Feldstein for a few and get Stefanski into lineup.

Well that's interesting. Pull Nepiarsky and don't let him finish the inning and you bring in Poulin? Who's starting the second mid week game then?

A little surprise, PJ Poulin comes in with two out and two on in the 7th.

I suspect Poulin will still start the Wednesday game. Probably in just to get a lefty batter.

John Toppa has been coming on nicely considering he spent several weeks hitting in the neighborhood of .150 for a number of weeks after coming back from his shoulder injury. It really put a crimp in the offense when UConn's two best returning hitters both got hurt right before the season started. It also put a crimp on their improvement as hitters as well, to the point where neither Toppa or Willy Yahn have improved on their stats from last season. Anyway, Toppa is now hitting .271, but without much in the way of any power, and like many Huskies, it would really help the offensive cause if he took a few more walks and got on base a bit more often. Still, he has been improving as the season has wore on, and has put together a bunch of multi hit games in recent weeks.
