Memphis/USF play a dbl header.

This is probably the biggest game of the year to this point. UCF will counter with their own stud freshman.

Prato's x-rays came back negative. Hope to see him back in game action soon.

We do not score in the 1st inning despite some good contact.

3-0. Unreal. Offense has their work cut out for them and game started 15 min ago.

Gnesda is staying hot at least.

Edit: we fail to score despite the first two batters reaching. zzz

Well, a scoreless B2 for Feole is a positive...

... and Hill just gets picked of first after getting on via a gift.

Why do we continue to give outs on the base paths? And on the other side Susi can't seem to throw anybody out this year and has thrown several into the outfield. When you struggle this bad offensively it is these things that make it near impossible to win.

Susi has certainly improved at the plate, but as far as his defense goes I wonder if he has developed a complex about throwing to the bases. There have been a number of times this season where he hasn't even made a throw on someone attempting to steal a base.

UCF makes it 5-0 in the bottom of the 3rd. Feole picks off a runner to end the inning.

I turned on the Oregon State game last night for a few and they had a guy who was 5'7" and barely weighed a buck 60 and he had 3 home runs which would lead our team. It got me wondering why we struggle to hit for power when we have some fairly big boys on our team?

UConn had a much more experienced team last season that was certainly not lacking in power. Bobby Melley as a freshman was not a power hitter, but developed into one as his career progressed. UConn has had a goodly number of freshmen and sophomores in its lineup this season, I'm hoping that players like Chris Winkel develop more of a power stroke as their careers progress.

Radue gets a 1-2-3 5th inning. He has 4 strikeouts in his stint so far.

We have threatened in almost every inning, but our lack of power makes it hard to consistently cash in these runners.
