Just noticed on the UConn website the game is set for 3:45pm start.

Television is ESPNU.

Me likey. Always prefer mid-afternoon games on the road. I'll be there +8 tailgating at the Methodist church lot just off the campus north of the stadium. $20 donation. Seems to be the rough equivalency of the Aero Club parking at the Rent. Off site but close and safe. It's University Carillon UMC on McCulloch Rd.

Tickets are still kinda pricy considering UCF is 0-4. I like to get right behind Uconn Bench front row and I have been watching it for a while and there isn't much.

I'll have 5 kids under the age of 13 in my group. I bought through UConn so that the seats would be with fellow UConn fans. Ticket prices through UConn weren't much different than Stub Hub or through UCF.

I got my ticks on stub hub in the 100s with fees for around 25 each. Got a c lot parking pass for 25.

Sounds like a good kickoff time for the Fairfield/New Haven County Boneyarders to take over a local establishment for some food and drink while cheering enthusiastically or yelling at the TV.

Who's in?

We're heading down with our two granddaughters. They grabbed the Orlando game as soon as the schedule was announced!

Look forward to a little payback for the drubbing we got two years ago.

I think you're ignoring the fact that this is the Civil ConFLiCT

I also think that there is no way this game is on ESPNU if Diaco doesn't go all whack-o and invent this rivalry

I have to be in Orlando for Monday so I thought I'd go down a few days early and see the game. What hotel are UConn people staying in for the game. I called UConn, ordered my ticket but they don't have any recommendations or knowledge of where people are staying. Can anyone make a suggestion.

Chin would it be ok if I join your tailgate since I'll be alone??

I'll be at Dinosaur BBQ in Stamford

UConnFranklin, I stayed the Hilton Garden Inn near the UCF campus for the 2013 game. At that time, UCF offered a free shuttle from their research park (about a mile from the hotel) to and from the game. The hotel was convenient, mall with restaurants across the street. I didn't see any other UConn fans at the hotel that year, but met lots at the game.

There are a bunch of hotels near the campus on Alafaya Trail or on University Blvd. Downtown Orlando is a good 20 minute drive from the campus (probably closer to 30 min). There's a bunch of Marriott brand hotels and Hilton brand hotels on either road. I'm staying at a Homewood Suites on Alafaya. The hotels on University put you within walking distance of the Tilted Kilt

Bonus if you stay at the Hilton Garden Inn is that it is right next to Bubbalou's Bodacious BBQ.

Don't mind at all. Turn on your messaging and I can send you more info.

Thank you for the info. And allowing me to join you.

I think I turned on my messaging. Never done that before so I'm not sure if it's on. Please give it a try when you get time.

You should Periscope the entire tailgate so us CT-based fans stuck at home in the cold can feel like we're part of the action down in sunny Orlando!

I will be down there with two others. We were looking to see where other UConn faithful would be setting up camp for the pre-game. Please IM me details if you are still accepting others.
Thanks !!

I sent you a PM.

I can't wait for the post game trophy ceremony. I hope the commish is there to hand Bob his trophy. Lolol.

I'll be tailgating in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania, if anybody wants to join me. Bring your banjo and your dentures for some BBQ.
Luckily, we have cable at the cottage...in other years we've had to visit a handful of bars to find one with color TV and willing to allow anything but a Penn State game on it.
