Position less football? Don’t know if it would work but getting th best players on the field seems reasonable.
You talked about last year and it didn't seem that you remembered how thin the RB depth was for UConn. And, how UConn lost their starting QB, 2 top WRs, and 3 RBs who were injured at one time or another. Plus, they were playing a true freshman QB who did not participate in Spring practice as he didn't enroll early so they had to keep the offense simple. And, even though they kept the offense simple, Turner struggled. There were no QBs last year who threw more passes than Turner that were graded lower by PFF. But, you want to change the offense on the fly?Well now in fact we only have a couple talented ones left. True injuries always play a role in football but on a talent deficient team you got to be flexible and get the healthy guys on the field together.
I would argue by playing one talented guy at a time it allowed the defense to key on them and ultimately injury them.
Market rate is the price a willing buyer and willing seller agree upon. Period.Yes. People pay above market rate for things all the time depending on the circumstances.

It is a lot more than just a financial transaction. Nick Saban can probably pay less than Kansas because of the value of being at Alabama and under him. That value is simply replaced by a certain amount of money at a school with a coach who is not Nick Saban. Money isn't the only good being transacted. At Colorado, the exposure probably makes what they have to pay someone less also. Kansas just has to give more of the money because they have less of the other value. No, it isn't. I recommend using google. The literal definition is "The market rate for goods or services is the usual price charged for them in a free market."
USUALLY, players of his caliber don't go for this much, but Kansas was getting desperate and came in hot.

yes. they are in a major conference. Have been in one for FIFTY years! of course they are in a better situation. Self has done a AMAZING job there. ... But, I'd rather have HURLEY!!!Kansas has as much, if not more, national brand/exposure/winning/coaching as UConn basketball, whether we like it or not. Self is a damned good coach, the school has great facilities and they are in the best conference in CBB.
What are you even talking about?
I agree we have surpassed KS in basketball.yes. they are in a major conference. Have been in one for FIFTY years! of course they are in a better situation. Self has done a AMAZING job there. ... But, I'd rather have HURLEY!!!
Part of the reason for injuries is when the defense can key on one guy. It reduces injury exposure actually putting talent on field together. That spreads out the defense. Regardless, of how much you try to defend it, Charlton’s offensive philosophy in various ways is an epic failure. That’s dumb John. Even dumber than listing 8 Tight Ends on depth chart. Rosa isn’t beating any cornerbacks.
It sounds like Rosa is nursing some injuries too.
Good God. No one is saying you don’t need multiple play makers on the field at the same time. People are saying you need them to have skill sets that enable them to play different positions.Part of the reason for injuries is when the defense can key on one guy. In today’s football, you need multiple play makers on the field at the same time. A play maker sitting on the bench doesn’t keep the defense honest, it only adds hits to the play maker on the field.

Didn't Rosa run away from the NC State cornerbacks and safeties on his big TD run? That’s dumb John. Even dumber than listing 8 Tight Ends on depth chart. Rosa isn’t beating any cornerbacks.

He also dropped a screen pass that should have gone for a big gain.Didn't Rosa run away from the NC State cornerbacks and safeties on his big TD run?
Or do you just mean he wouldn't be able to run patterns that would give him separation?
WE NEED TOTAL FOOTBALL!Position less football? Don’t know if it would work but getting th best players on the field seems reasonable.
Stafford?Who is our best run blocking TE? That could catch a pass running down the seam off playaction. Put eleven players on the field and run a few plays with no substitutions. Roberson, Rosa/Edwards, Ross, Buckman, o-line, Joly, and ?TE.
Position less football?
In general that may be true but, shifting to an example in the classic car market, at a major auction at Amelia Island this Spring a well known limited production sports car from the 60's sold for nearly $1.7 M while at another auction a few miles away two others failed to sell at high bids less than $1 M.Market rate is the price a willing buyer and willing seller agree upon. Period.

I thought Diaco tried that.

Yeah. We should play Total Football Ajax/Ted Lasso Style
That’ll work!
The Boneyard is a such cavalcade of Idiocy.
I was surprised Rosa came in as RB. He seemed very athletic and versatile when he was recruited.Having running backs tale the place for wrs over a prolong period of time won't work. Yes, they can catch the ball. But can they do it consistently in tight windows. Run good routes? Get separation in nichol packages. Probably not. That's why they are playing RB.
No he used the fish cakes strategyI thought Diaco tried that.
It won’t work WANKER!!!WE NEED TOTAL FOOTBALL!
