Baaahh. How credible is a season forecast that fails to pick up Kokenis's 'retirement' 100 days after it was announced?

I saw that and had the same reaction!! Who does the research check?

I think Mitchell is a very good coach, but I'll be surprised if KY ends up ahead of ND.

I agree missing the Konenis retirement is puzzling.

Is Nebraska really that good? Color me skeptical.

Is Colorado really that good? Color me skeptical.

Good catch on the return of Bussie to WV, if she is healthy they may do even better than 23rd.

Many of them seemed about right, but I did have a couple I would question.

I'm thrilled to see that Alexis Jones has transferred to Baylor. Who knew?

"Alexis Jones (Florida's prep player of the year in 2012) will have more minutes and more freedom as a sophomore"

Yea I just don't see Nebraska doing as well without Moore.

Same goes for Colorado without Jeffrey.

ND not as good without Diggins
Stanford not as good without Kokenis
Nebraska not as good without Moore
Colorado not as good without Jeffrey
But since they all lose player(s), significant ones too, they all drop down a notch, but really, who fills the void?
I dont see many out there ready to step in, so, we just keep last years teams about the same.........and wonder what will be.

Is Baylor as good without BG? :(:(:(

My life will never be the same. But I still feel Baylor to be top 10, and possibly Elite 8.

I'm glad you recognize reality. :)

Sims is very good. We'll see who emerges to play at that level among the underclassmen and recruits. Top 5-15 is very good for most programs.

Small looks to be the real deal, but you never know until a player gets to see their first Div I action.

No, I catch the point. Sometimes I see a ranked somewhere, and think they are over-ranked, but then look to see who should move ahead, and there aren't a lot of good choices.

In reality, it will probably be teams like Dayton, who fly so to speak, a little under the rader, but didn't lose much (I think) and may step up big.) Plus, there will be a team with a Sophia Young freshman (under-rated, but turned out to be super), who aren't ranked very high but take the world by storm.

Good ole Sophia! What a wonder surprise she turned out to be.

The Tar Heels will be in the top 10 before too long. With all that new talent I am surprised that they aren't already. I looked at the box score and the four freshmen accounted for 49 of their 111 points. They are going to have a major impact.

I refuse to call Colorado "good". Last year they were respectable. One and done in the dance. A slightly better out of conference - they play Illinois and Louisville again, and Iowa this year. That said, they only play Cal and Stanford once this year, while they have the LA schools twice. Their in-conference losses last year were to Cal and Stanford twice plus UCLA.

Looking at the PAC12 OOC scheds for this year and would say that Arizona State, Cal, Oregon State, Stanford and UCLA look to have challenging OOC games, and actually a number of other schools have some decent games. Arizona isn't one of them:( , but I think this addresses one of the issue I have had with the teams in the past. We shall see.

Decent picks but I still do not see Notre Dame below 4 let alone 7 I do not see Maryland anywhere near 4 even with Thomas. I also think Baylor improves this year (at least in the tournament). I think they are underrated or maybe people hold the loss of BG (a huge loss) a bit too much against them. Sims is still a great leader.
