Yes he was but we've had several of those.Reminder, Shabazz Napier was the best player in the country his senior year.
I think a lot of people forget how good he was. Donyell's Junior year was insane. To me it may be the best single season ever at UConn (could also argue the same for Kemba his last year). I think he would be thought of differently if he made those free throws against Florida.Reasonable people could argue Caron or Rip on the team they most want to watch. On a college level, Cliff Robinson couldn't carry Donyell Marshall's water.

The only way this exercise makes sense to me is for everyone to have their own list, based on their own preferences, because our own biases are going to enter the picture anyway, regardless of specified criteria. The Boneyard has debated this many times before, but impressions do change over time (for example, a few years ago we had Hamilton as #2).
Here is how my buddy and I come out now.
Regardless of relative position, have we inadvertently forgotten anyone?

This. Exactly. Stats be damned, that choke job in that situation was more than enough to keep him out of my personal top ten.I think he would be thought of differently if he made those free throws against Florida.

Plus the guy was the PG to a national title team - jesus that guys gets no love around here ever. The guy started for 4 straight years as a point guard. He's always forgotten about.40 foot 3 pointer in double OT to seal win over Pitt in 2002 big east championship at the very least
Interesting list. Its all opinion so im cool with it but my list would definitely look a bit different. The Boneyard has debated this many times before, but impressions do change over time (for example, a few years ago we had Hamilton as #2).

Sheffer and Burrell are both too low regardless of how the rankings were determined. I agree with your old Big East comments and the same logic applies to Scotty as well as Doron.Without any criteria not even a discussion. But by any criteria, Vital and Adams above Sheffer is absurd. It's one thing to put up numbers for poor or mediocre teams. It's another thing to be playing at an all-old Big East level for three years for a team that goes to the second weekend three times.
Looking for his pubes.I don't understand this thread but where is Charlie V.?
