UConn to host Holy Cross in 2021

The UConn Huskies will host the Holy Cross Crusaders in 2021, according to the official websiteof Holy Cross.

UConn and Holy Cross are scheduled to meet at Rentschler Field in East Hartford to open the 2021 season on Thursday, Sept. 2.

The two schools were already scheduled to meet to open the 2017 season on Thursday, Aug. 31 in East Hartford.

Holy Cross is a member of the Patriot League in the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS). The Crusaders finished the 2016 season 4-7 overall and 2-4 in league play.

I'd rather stick to the rotation of Maine/Rhody/Nova/any of the other old Yankee conf mates. Holy Cross football sounds like we are playing Trinity or Wesleyan in my mind.

If we are playing a FCS school I want it to be one of the worst ones talent wise possible. It does no good to play a good Nova/NDSU/EWU/Jacksonville St type team. Give me Holy Cross, MVSU, Delaware State every time.
