Lots of if's but if WVU and RU go down tonight and Cinci tomorrow Uconn is one win away from sitting up top of the conference at .500. Lots of season left. Go Cuse go Louisville!
 
If RU is 2-1 and UConn is 1-1, how exactly is UConn tied for first?
 
At a time where the big east is reeling I'm rooting for WVU to win out.

Anyone rooting for a team other than UConn to win the Big East this year isn't a UConn fan. Period.
 
i'm hoping for nyc for this team this year to be honest, that may be a stretch but lets see what happens here.

I forgot to add the Uconn beats Pitt in my list of ifs.... but my point is these teams lose this weekend Uconn wins Wednesday things get interesting.

This is what kills me. Apparently people who think UConn isn't good this year aren't allowed to hope optimistically nonetheless.

I think UConn this year is terrible. I think its more likely that we finish 4-8 than win the Big East.

But you better believe that I am rooting for Syracuse tonight, anyway. Being negative has nothing to do with no longer being optimistic going forward.
 
So rooting for Cuse makes you a UCONN fan and if you don't then you're not?

It's got nothing to do with being allowed to be hopeful. More of an amusing observation of how the Sunday morning Chicken Littles turn into wide-eyed optimists once they have a few days to cool off.

Obviously Waylon is rooting for WVU tonight since his heart is broken that the Big East is dead. I guess you can root for whoever you want, it makes no difference to who wins, obviously. I just hate the comments like "I hope we don't make a BCS bowl" and "I hope WVU wins out..." I hope WE win out and go to the BCS and win the game, damnit! Maybe it's not likely but thats what I WANT.

I do realize that my competitive nature just isn't as common in the rest of the world as I think, though.

Sean, don't ever stop believing in UConn winning the BE and going to the BCS.
Believing (rooting?) for anything else is preposterous.
 
But wouldn't technically WVU still be in front of us because the defeated us?

Doubt many will make trip to Pitt vs UConn. Especially not in their colors.

If Rutgers doesn't find a way to beat Louisville.... the negative press about UConn's Fiesta Bowl team will look glowing in comparison to this year's participant.
 
Occupy Heinz is the kind of thing that sounds great on the internet. When you actually have to get into a car and go watch UConn/Pitt it's a lot tougher.

Everything that can go wrong for this league does, so you may as well bet the farm on USF tomorrow, they'll beat Cincinnati just because that is how the Big East works. I can't wait to start reading about the tiebreakers.

Who cares, the writing is on the wall, the Big East is done ... I'd rather go to as many BCS bowls as possible before the bid is taken away.

Honestly if I have to listen to another minute of them 'ing the big east... I want UCONN to win out and I'd never cheer for anything else but honestly, you have to agree that the outlook is bleak.
 
ESPN kicking the crap out the Big East and relishing prospect of a loss of BCS auto bid. Have to agree we are on a sinking ship and we have get out before it takes us down.

And they talk up cuse as if it's on it's way to another title. They won't be in the ACC until '14 asses! Still two and a half seasons away!

Thats as of now ..... but they will make the move before then. No sense in being in a lame duck conference.

Yeah, I'd be more than happy to go to more BCS games... this year it would be a minor miracle to be bowl eligible. I know you can 'if' your way to the title, but it's just not going to happen.
