Hats off to Johnson for managing to get out of that self created mess, with the help of Chris Winkel and his magic glove. The young pitchers are having their ups and downs, but they are also making contributions to the team.

I just realized that homer by Chiovitti was his first hit as a UConn Husky (he had many for Avery Point). Wow!

He has had multiple bombs that either died at the warning track or steered just foul. It was only a matter of time! I kind of want to see more of him, although I like Nucerino too. Both are very different #9 hitters; one is the prototypical pain in the ass, and the other can (potentially) get your team random home runs when you least expect them.

I am more worried about 3B than right field at this point.

No question 3B is the bigger worry. Suspect we might be seeing more of Langer there.
