"The plan is for the Huskies to host the Longhorns for the Hall of Fame Challenge at Mohegan Sun Arena during the 2016-17 campaign. UConn would travel to Austin during the 2017-18 season.

I'm wondering if they got a 24 hour buyers remorse clause with that. :D

Brilliant Geno! More exposure to the south. Lots of recruits lurking there.

GREAT ! I like the way the Longhorn program is being put together. I believe a Uconn vs. Texas rivalry could be huge !

YES!!!!! Three games in Texas as long as we're in the AAC. Bring back Baylor!!

Hey from Austin. I love it. Coach Aston showing no fear. She wants to build a program. She is willing to do what it takes to do that. Among other benefits, bring UConn to Austin will bring fans to the arena.

Um we get a neutral site as home game and give and away game? When did we become a mid major?

The day we joined the AAC? In other news, Mohegan Sun, like Webster Bank and XL are considered UConn home courts by the NCAA.

Good strategy. UConn plays anyone anywhere. Two wins, whether on the space station or on the deck of the USS North Carolina

Got to love this move...........Does Tenn bow to UCONN after the meeting in Tampa?.........

You could take a space ship to Mars to face UConn and you would likely lose. This nonsense about where they play is just that - nonsense. UConn wins where ever because of its coaching and training.

great series.... love to hear this..... texas is good for us.... strong in the post..... good coach

Can we get this extended to football too. Got to figure someway to get out of the AAC and that road runs through the gridiron.

Actually, no. You have to play I believe three regular season games in a season on a court for it to become a 'home' court. I believe Webster Bank is hoping for that to occur, though if it does they will not be able to bid for NCAA regionals.

I think you're right. All the same the original premise is lame. A game at Mohegan Sun which is 25 miles as the crow flies from Storrs is nothing but a home game for UConn. When they play there I am pretty sure UConn is wearing the home whites.

Is it too late for Texas to back out of this deal ?:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
Actually - I think it is just what TX needs. Like SC. Like Stanford. They know you have to know what you are shooting for.
