There are some who believe/hope that Breanna Stewart, future superstar, will bring a NC next year. So I was wondering: Has any former Husky, on the Wall of Honor, ever won an NC in her freshman year?

This is the correct (and sole) answer. And it underscores how important teammates are. Breanna is coming in a) as part of an incredibly elite recruiting class, and b) joining a team that loses only one player (a very good but not Maya kind of one player).

If Breanna wins an NC in her first season as a collegiate, it will be because she, along with her classmates, provided important pieces to a puzzle that was largely compete upon their arrival. The same could be said of Nykesha if it comes to that.

Alexrgct......... Exactly. You hit the nail on the head. We lose a good piece of the puzzle in Tiffany , but we gain so much in Stewart , Tuck , and MoJeff. Toss them in with KML, Kiah, BB, Bria, Kelly , Stef , CD , and the gang , and Geno is cooking.

If UConn were to win a National Championship it will mean that Breanna, Morgan and Moriah filled missing pieces of an already good team. The three recruits add much needed bench strength. The team only loses Tiff and her replacement is already on the team with experience and when Kaleena finishes her UConn career will have better stats and most will say she's the better player.
