An update on other UConn players with the Norwich Sea Unicorns. I don't know with absolute certainty, but I suspect that Ryan Hyde and Curren Larson are both injured and not playing because of said injuries. Curren Larson pitched in 3 games early on in the Sea Unicorns season, but has not pitched since June 5. He started 2 games for Norwich, including a game on June which I was at. Larson pitched 1 inning, and allowed 1 run. Still, I didn't think he pitched all that badly that game, and at the time I was a bit shocked that he came out after 1 inning. Larson is still with the team, bu has not pitched in a game since that time, which makes me suspect he has some sort of injury. His ERA in the 5 innings he pitched with Norwich is 3.60, which isn't all that bad. When Ryan Hyde joined the team after UConn's loss to Stanford, Hyde quickly became one of the two main catchers that were being used on the team. I was at the game on June 28, where Ryan Hyde was the starting catcher. I did not see what happened, but during one inning where Hyde was catching, he was taken out of the game after a strikeout for the first out. I did not see what happened, but I'm guessing Hyde might have got hit by a foul tip just before he came out of the game. Hyde is still with the team, but he has not played since that game. As mentioned before, Jackson Ferrigno is currently in the transfer portal, and I expect that he will not be back with UConn in the fall, but as always, we'll see what happens. Ferrigno has been playing pretty regularly, mainly at 3B and SS, with the very occasional appearance at 2B. I've taking a bit of a liking to him. Ferrigno is currently hitting for a decent average, .267. He is tied for the team lead in doubles (7), and leads the team with 4 triples. He also has his fair share of walks and hit by pitches, which brings his on base percentage to .367. Not bad after redshirting this season with UConn baseball.
