STUDENTS: The Dog House Party is set for April 6th. Free pizza & t-shirts!

UConn Football has announced the time and date of the 2016 Dog House Party. This student-only event (open practice/pizza party) is set to take place on Wednesday, April 6th from 9:00-10:30pm - students are encouraged to arrive by 8:30pm. Admission is FREE for all UConn Students. The event will take place at the Mark R. Shenkman Training Center. Entry to the practice in Shenkman will be permitted through the Recreation Entrance (located next to Morrone Stadium).

What to expect:
  • Your first look at the 2016 Huskies
  • FREE pizza
  • FREE t-shirt for the first 1,000 REGISTERED students
  • Raffle (Grand Prize) - PS4
  • Raffle (Other Prizes) - Beats Headphones, Gift Cards, Spring Game Sideline Passes, and More
  • Be part of the 2016 Intro Video - filming to take place at this event
  • Social media photo station
  • First opportunity to get 2016 student season ticket information
 
No Hot Dogs at the Dog House Party. What is the AD thinking.

I kid. Things like this are great. I know when I was in school I would have never gone but just getting events like this out there is important. It's easy to forget that students are usually there for 4 (or like many of my friends, 5) years and that fandom and traditions need to pass through these 4 year cycles. This is why building a program for 5-6 years is so important. You want the seniors telling the freshman that if they're not at a football game they aren't experiencing college.
 
I've got my grad school orientation on the same day...darn. Maybe I can squeeze it in seeing as it starts late :(

Garret Anderson has a rocket arm. Bryant was 'charley checkdown' all day. Frank battle is absurdly tall. Redzone offense was pretty bad. Field goal kicking was perfect. 17 had some pretty great catches.

My daughter went last night. She got there at 8:45 hoping the doors would open at 9:00 as advertised ... doors didn't open until 930. I thought punctuality was one of HCBD's strengths ...

I think that's the most yet! Unfortunately this is pretty much in lieu of the Blue White Game for students. Never really see them there.
 
In all honesty, im almost positive that there werent 1,000 kids there. No way. I was thinking maybe 500 when I was there.
