2012 OSNA (NY) PF Chris Obekpa tweets he will commit to Oregon, Cincinnati, DePaul or Providence - http://Post original url/KDt7UZ - St. John's out?

I'm a tad bit confused. This would be a HUGE pick-up.
 
I'm also confused. Would appreciate clarification...

If obekpa wants to be remotely relevant in 5 years his only hope from this bunch is us.

Hope he has some intelligent advisors in his camp.

If you have a Twitter account and you're a UConn fan, stay the duck* away from recruits.

First, if you think it's a good idea, you're too duck*ing stupid to represent the school. Second, it's not permissible to contact recruits. Third, even if it were allowed, seriously, don't duck*ing act like a hayseed and start Twittering teenagers. It's pathetic.

All that aside, I don't think we're really in this.

Oh please. Hes got a shitload of retweets from everyone already. That doesn't hurt at all and it shows him UConns fan care, we have shown in numbers already. No one replied saying "hey u come to uconn or else..." so don't lose sleep over it. When I went to it there were already 5 others from here that beat me to it by a while. Nice job everyone.
 
I agree that tweeting teenagers is fairly creepy but the whole not permissible to contact recruits is ridiculous. People do it constantly, Kentucky fans flood kids accounts with creepy fanboy messages.

Yeah, it's usually not a good sign when you only make the "follow up tweet to keep people guessing after the original tweet." Most people are saying Cincy

Is this what the world of recruiting is coming to? I am so glad I am old enough to remember the days........................................

A grown man tweeting young kids with love is not my style. It has a pedophile ring to it, but I guess with teachers tweeting students its acceptable to may others. So glad I'm older, I feel for the youngsters these days. Just amazing!

I'm willing to bet that, while these kids do love the attention, the number of "people who hit them up on twitter" probably has a completely negligible impact on which school they choose.

I mean these's a pretty good chance that Obekpa already has his mind made up and no amount of twitter love is going to do a damn thing.
