In an effort to get ready for this coming season, here is a pre season quiz..!! Answers are below, no cheating.

1. Who has started more games for UConn: Ashlynn or Sarah?
2. Who scored more points last season, Jana or Ice?
3. Eight different players started at least 1 game last season. Who played in all 40, but never started?
4. Sarah led the team with 75 offensive rebounds. What player was 2nd?
5. Who scored more points last season, Allie or Morgan?

6. How many Huskies shot 40% or better from 3 point range?
7. How many games has Caroline started in her UConn career, 40, 30 or 20?
8. At what age did Blanca start playing in the Italian pro league?
9. Who scored more points their freshman season, Paige or Sarah?
10. Could UConn start a entire line up of only 6'2" players ?


Answers:
1. Ashlynn has started 45, Sarah 40, all last year.
2. Jana scored 200, Ice only 114. (Ice had 175 freshman year.)
3. KK played in every game, but didn't start any.
4. Jana was 2nd in offensive boards with 57.
5. Morgan scored 61 before her injury, Allie totaled 92 points.

6. Three players were better than 40% from 3 range: Paige (41.9%), Azzi (43.6%) and Ash (41.1%)
7. Caroline has played in 67 games, but started only 20.
8. Blanca was born in August 3, 2006. She was 13-14 in 2020 when she played for an Italian pro team.
9. Paige scored 581 in 2020-21. Sarah scored 657 last year.
10. Yes. Sarah, Caroline, Ayanna, Morgan and Blanca are all 6'2" tall. (Interesting line up..!)

Only 70%, but I had 2 of them nailed before talking myself out of the correct answer. The surprise for me... little 13/14 y.o. Blancita playing in a pro league. Remarkable even if the league is relatively weak.

I surprised myself getting 9/10. The one I missed was the # of 40% shooters from the arc. I had the 3 you list plus I added Allie.

I do hope Geno subs in the 6’2” lineup now and then. It would be a lot of fun to watch them carve up opponents.

Nice job, DavidnNaples. Enjoyed going through this even though I only got 7.5 out of 10 (I got two of the answer for #6 so I gave myself a half point. 😊 ) Didn't know #7, #8 was a shocker and #10 didn't think Geno would play without a true PG even though Morgan was a 1 in HS.
