UConn chewed through three Big East opponents in route to their 23rd overall Big East title, 5th consecutive since rejoining the conference in 2021. Here are some fun stats from the three games this past weekend:
1. Paige and Sarah scored 110 points combined in the three games. The rest of the Huskies scored 112 points.
2. Jana El Alfy shot 8-10 from the field or 80%. She also only had 2 turnovers in the 3 games.
3. UConn's defense held opponents to 31.7% shooting from the field. The bad guys missed 116 of 170 shots.
4. The Huskies swarming defense also caused 45 turnovers, including 29 steals.
5. For the 3 games, UConn made 83 of 176 shots, or 47.2%.
6. After going 2-19 from three point range in the first game, the Huskies made 17 threes in the final two games.
7. Caroline Ducharme played in all three games and scored 5 points, including a three point basket.
8. UConn had 48 assists on 83 baskets. (almost 60%)
9. Paige and Sarah had 13 of UConn's 16 blocked shots.
10. UConn won the three games by a combined 79 points & shot 81% from the free throw line.
