UConn Star Sarah Strong And mom Allison Feaster On NIL and more (merged)

I just watched this. There were several interesting comments:
  • Sarah had an agent starting in HS and it was none other than Lindsay Kagawa Colas who also happens to be Paige, DT, Maya, Sue & Stewie’s agent.
  • Both Sarah & her mom indicated that NIL played no part in Sarah’s decision to come to UConn
  • When asked what she needed to work on for next season, Sarah responded that she needed to be more of a leader…….Good answer.

Lindsay Kagawa Colas is one of the best.

Sarah is being Sarah. Her answers to questions are short but to the point.

Found it interesting that she had/ has an agent since her senior year. Also the NIL money was not a part of her decision as to what school to committ to.

Allison gave some great insights into her career path, her relationship with Sarah. Also a hint of the CT Sun moving to Boston considering the latest news out of Uncasville.

The Sun to Boston would be a wonderful new start for a somewhat challenged franchise. Maybe the new owners will consider Allison Feaster as their new GM? :)
 
I've found if a team is sold the new owners they will want their own people to run the front office and coaching staff!
There might be some carry-over but usually they have a clean slate!

I think it is interesting that she did not have an agent until late in her senior year. That means she did not have an agent until after the close of the early signing period.

Something to ponder with other late signers like Chavez and Makeer, but more so those who don’t sign early in future seasons. I think we’ll see more of it among top ten or more recruits in coming years. ( note Chavez didn’t even mention Oklahoma before the end of the early signing period)
 
Asked, how did UConn get to be so dominant by March? Sarah says, "just doing the little things other teams don't do."

"when you put the ball through the hoop, that's a bucket...and it gets you 1 2 or 3 points. We did that more than the other teams"
