Original post at here also includes basketball analysis, but due to character limit I am omitting it here.

Men's Soccer: The first round of the Big East Tournament will be tonight at 6:00 PM at Morrone Stadium. The Huskies will host DePaul. With a win, we will face off on Sunday afternoon at Rutgers at 1:00 PM. Currently, the Huskies are #4 in the RPI computer rankings but only 7th in the Coaches' Poll. Top four teams in the NCAA Tournament are assured of home games through the quarterfinals and then the neutral-site College Cup. If we can win the Big East Tournament, we have a good chance of being one of them.

Field Hockey: And of course, the Field Hockey Big East Tournament is this weekend. Tomorrow at 12:30, the Huskies face the Louisville Cardinals at 12:30 PM. Then, the host team Syracuse will play Villanova at 3:00 PM. The winners face off on Sunday at 1:00 and all games are free live online at Bigeast.tv.

UConn completely dominated DePaul tonight in the first round match-up of the Big East Tourny. The Huskies out shot the Blue Devils by (22) 26-4, in a 4-0 beatdown. None of DePaul's shots were remarkably close to even going in, and UConn easily could have made this game 6-0...AT LEAST...Alvarez netted a pair, one on a PK, the other on a gorgeous free kick, DJB(Jean-Baptise) and Diop each had a one. Flo Liu nearly scored on one heckuva cross that ended up actually going over the keeper's head and slamming of the far post before rolling away. It would have been better than "video-game esq".
FYI Juho was still out and had a boot on his foot tonight.

The next match-up for the Huskies comes on Sunday 1pm in Piscataway vs Rutgers. Goal Patrol is trying to send 2 buses down to show everybody how well we all travel. Should be a great one.
