St John's won the regular season and disintegrated in the BET. Villanova has been in the way the past few years. We will have 2 chances to finally win the tournament.

We lost 3 at Tennessee but played them tougher than a lot of teams this year. Could easily have won one and maybe 2 of those games after the initial shock at that level. This is a better team now and that series with a top 10 team was an investment that may have started paying off in this post season.

-> The Huskies will learn their assignment Sunday a 7 p.m. for the NCAA field of 64, and will head to one of 16 regional sites May 16-18. UConn played in eight NCAA Tournaments between 1989 and 2001. The Huskies won the Big East regular-season championship in 2022 and ’23, but came up short in the conference tournament. The Huskies left no doubt this weekend. <-

Valentino inherited a disaster of a program and she quickly turned it around. She not only immediate impact but had been something that is lasting. Team has continued to make progress. She doesn’t get the press the other programs get but her accomplishments are damn impressive. Benedict hit on this one for sure..
