Kind of like the men's team under Calhoun.

Actually there is a reasonable comparison between Breanna last night and Kelly Schumacher in 2000. Geno said then (after her 9 blocks), "She played the game of her life in the game of her life."

It should have tied a record, we all know that Schuey had 10, not 9, but still very impressive.

One of the prior record holders was, of course UConn.

The other, oddly enough, was Notre dame (in their game against Purdue) 2001.

Well, Ruth Riley was a pretty good swatter for ND and was the BEast Defensive Player of the Year in 2001, when she was just a dominator, and she had a year when she averaged 2 a game in the WNBA. She got 7 of the 11 in that tough NC victory.
