UConn/SDSU or Yale set for Thursday at 7:39pm

1 - Why would a game played in LA tipoff before a game played in Boston?

2 - Why would Arizona-Clemson get CBS over the defending national champion/overall #1 seed in what may be a rematch of last year's national title game?

.-.
Tickets lower level going for $2000 - $3000 just for Thursday. Balcony nose-bleeds $300-400. I've been to multiple NCAA Tournaments and never seen prices like this. This is going to be a blue-blood, corporate crowd for those prices.

Yeah probably going to be a bunch of boring suits. MSG elite 8 vs MSU will go down as the last great one - $100 lower level, absolute zoo

They perceive it as a better game. Probably right.

If we blow Yale/SDSU out, people will change the channel.

Is that really normal to start a second game doubleheader around 10pm eastern? I dunno how you east coasters do it
It’s ridiculous. Plus those never start on time.

TruTV again? And who is going to stick around in Boston until midnight for Illinois-Iowa State?

Because they saw the record low ratings for said title game last year.

The answer to your first question is because no one in sports gives a damn about people in the audience who pay for tickets. It’s only about TV viewing

Hopefully most UConn fans bought the Boston tickets a while ago…I wish I had. I’ll still be going but I’ll be sitting way up top lol

SDSU plays an UGLY style of basketball. I totally get whey they don’t want that in the prime slot.

Yes a wine and cheese crowd.

I had a bad dream that hopefully won't come true but UConn was struggling in an ugly game, pulled within 52-47 with under 3 to go, like 2:45, with Cam Spencer making a great play to get within 5, trying hard to get his team fired up, near home (Boston) in a shockingly not very pro UConn crowd. I'm swearing at the TV trying to encourage the guys to pick it up. Not sure how the dream ended but let's just say UConn wins by a deuce, 57-55 or 59-56.

We don't score that low man.

I think the channel and time suck, again... but I get it. More lumber for the fire.

Surprised they went for Clemson vs Zona on CBS

CBS wants good football teams. Clemson, Arizona, Alabama, North Carolina >>> San Diego State, UConn, Illinois, Iowa State.

Hopefully SDSU gets jet lag.
They got back to San Diego at around 3:30 am (Pacific time) this morning and will be flying to Boston sometime on Tuesday. I am sure they will be a little messed up, but adrenaline does wonders. Colorado St. was their farthest road trip east this year.

I miss pacific time zone sports watching terribly

Personally I’m totally fine with ISU/Illinois playing past midnight

I've always thought central time zone is the goldilocks zone for a sports fan. Not too early where you're still working and not too late where you want to go to bed.
