Can't get any inside points, too much reliance on outside shooting. Stef or for that matter anyone else is able to set screens that result in drives to the basket. Horrible offense, Teams have learned to defend this team.

Remember 2 weeks ago when we were the #2 ranked team in the country? One team pushing back against us, SJU, apparently has caused the whole team to feel sorry for itself and regress.

The #23 that's a freshman did enough in that first half to win them the game. Nobody else has done ANYTHING.
 
Terrible offense by UCONN. It's all in their heads. They have the talent. Bria, Stef, & Tiff where are u guys??
 
No leader on the floor and no scoring presence in the paint; we are relying on the outside shot and we are not taking care of the ball. Why is Stef hanging out at the top of the key and shooting the 15 footer rather than trying to get a basket in the paint? This is going to be a long, long night.

Be glad we're playing Rutgers tonight. Wouldn't like to see what Louisville would have done if the team played like it is tonight.
 
The problem UConn has is that no one is capable of creating their own shot. Maya could always get her own shot if she wanted to. Obviously, there's only one Maya, but someone needs to be able to just rise up and shoot when the offensive set breaks down. We rely too much on screens and movement, and athletic defenses can wreak havoc on that.

I wonder what it feels like to have a team who can shoot threes. Hmmm... must feel good, eh, UConn fans?

Agreed. That's why I asked where I was....thought it was another board.....
Rutgers games are always a grind. We are always out of our offensive flow because of the way Rutgers defends. There are some good things happening in the game, and we are winning.
Now I am going to go and refresh my cocktail at the next time out
