It seems every time Kondelik is on the ice he is making his presence felt. He is also on the power play first unit and the penalty kill first unit. He already seems to be the best center on the team.

Coming off a bad loss and the next night playing a team with less talent while putting in a sub standard effort is what UConn was known for. In previous seasons, this was the type of game UConn would lose. UConn had good energy after playing the night before while the opposition was off all week. Nice to see them beat a team they should beat. 2-2 is what could have been expected after the first 4 games.

The next five games are all tough conference games with only two being at home. Hopefully Iskhakov and Gendron will be back in the lineup next weekend. The defense misses Gendron on the blue line.

I'm liking what I'm seeing from our squad so far this year. It appears that we have much more team speed than in previous years. #2 recruting class has been making its prescence felt so far this year.
