Samson Johnson shot 100% in FT for a season.

There's a helluva lot more Huskies who shot> 90% for a season if you go by raw numbers. And less than 3 by NCAA or UConn record books.

I thought that this would be about the sheep the guys on my floor (Fairfield 1st) stole from the farm in 1992. I’m no longer interested.

I can't be the only one who immediately thought of Doug Wiggins when I read that question. Spencer was the obvious answer for sheep purposes, but single season free throw shooting will always be Doug's claim to fame. Assuming the bar to qualify is one attempt per game or something similar, his 95.1% figure (39-41) will be hard to replicate.

Funny thing is, his true handicap is probably closer to 80-85% given he shot just 42-57 (73.7%) the year before. It took the perfect amount of luck/variance in both accuracy and volume to get him this record, but hey, it's still his. Fun one to tell your grandkids about.
