A short game where you try to out-think other forum posters.
Rules:
I'm going to make this first attempt at this game as UConn-centric as possible. Also these are questions concerning the Men's teams and players unless otherwise noted.
I'd like to get at least 15 people in order to run this with a decent number of entrants. I will cap it at the first 40 qualifying entries (I doubt I'll get that many).
Sheep Questions:
1) Name one of the all-time top 10 scorers in UConn history.
2) Name one of UConn's greatest rivals.
3) Name a school whose uniforms are produced by Adidas.
4) Name one of the many early in-season basketball tournaments.
5) Name one of UConn's top-10 rebounders of all time.
6) Name one of UConn's Championship Teams.
7) Name one of UConn's Big East Tournament Champions.
8) Name one of UConn's current NBA alumni.
9) Name a current NCAA basketball referee.
10) Name a movie starring an NBA player.
11) Name a UConn player that was left-handed.
12) Name one of the last ten NIT Champions.
Bonus 2x-Points Sheep Question:
13) Name the last team the UConn Women's team lost to.
Reverse Sheep Questions:
14) Name a videogame that the UConn brand appeared in.
15) Name a top 25 team from the final RPI rankings of this past season.
16) Name one of the Sweet 16 teams from the 2016 NCAA Tournament.
17) Name one NCAA Champion from the past 20 years (excluding UConn).
18) Name a member of the AAC (excluding UConn).
19) Name a UConn player from the 2011 National Championship team.
20) Name one of the four teams UConn lost to in the '05-'06 season.
21) Name a current UConn alumnis in the NBA.
22) Name a college bball play-by-play or color commentator.
23) Name one of the last five #1 picks in the NBA drafts.
24) Ten players in UConn history have recorded a triple-double, name one of them.
25) The UConn Men have been to five Final Fours, name one of the sites for one of them.
For the record, I don't know why it's called a Sheep game. Good luck to everyone that wants to play.
Rules:
- There are two types of questions: Sheep questions (1-12) and Reverse Sheep questions (13-24).
- For Sheep questions (1-12), you want to answer what you think will be given most often by other people. For example, if the question is "Name a Duke player" a good answer might be Christian Laettner and a bad answer would likely be Nick Horvath.
- For Reverse Sheep questions (14-25), you want to give the answer that you think will be given least often by other people. For example, if the question is "Name a basketball conference in the NCAA", a terrible answer would probably be the ACC. A good answer would probably be the Horizon League.
- In Sheep questions, you get one negative point for every person that gives the same answer as you, including yourself. For example, if you and six other people said Laettner, all seven of you would get -7 points. No points are given if you are the only person to say an answer.
- In Reverse Sheep questions, you get one positive point for every person that gives the same answer as you, including yourself. If you and ten other people said the ACC, you would get 11 points.
- The lowest total score wins. In the above two examples, your current score would be 11 – 7 = 5.
- No using Google, Wikipedia, etc if you don't have to. Try to remain moral in this (i.e. don't use them to cheat).
- Private message me your answers. Do not post them in this thread or tell anyone else.
- To make it easier for me to score the results, please list your answers one per line and don't number the items.
- Incorrect answers in Reverse Sheep get the number of points for the answer with the most votes + 1, making it worse than giving the worst correct answer.
- Answers are due by Tuesday, May 17th at 11:59PM EDT. Answers will be revealed over the following day(s)
